OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE, TO LEARN, TO JOIN A GROUP: Wednesday Morning Maintenance Crew The Maintenance Crew is a group of men who meet every Wednesday morning to care for Parkview's building and grounds. They paint, fix-up, invent, adjust, build, tear down, mow, fertilize, plant, trim, shovel, change light bulbs&ldots;you name it&ldots;they've probably done it! No reservations or appointments needed - just show up around 8:00 a.m. Landscaping Anyone??? Parkview has been blessed with some very dedicated individuals who, over the course of three summers, have cared for the flowerbeds on the west side of the church and in the east courtyard. The beauty they have facilitated has enabled us to have outdoor memorial services, weddings, and receptions. More volunteers are needed. Worship Set-up A new ministry has formed within the Worship and Prayer Core Ministry Team. This ministry is responsible for worship set-up. Those on the team decorate our worship space, but they also ensure that the candle holders are clean, the communion table cloths pressed, and the banners attended to. Some people have referred to these folks as Parkview's "church mice." ASL Classes American Sign Language Have you noticed how traditional worship has been enhanced? Thanks to Carrie Lucas and others, the service is now signed using American Sign Language. Carrie has been a blessing, but others are needed to assist in the worship experience for the deaf and hearing impaired. Carrie will be teaching American Sign Language on Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.

Occasionally a movie is rented, and someone hosts a potluck in their home. Movie Group meets on the 4th Saturday afternoon. E-mails are sent to participants the week of the movie. Dinners For Six This fellowship group enjoys smaller, more intimate gatherings. The host is responsible for setting the date, providing the main course, and for making the plans for the evening. Hosts and dinner guests rotate each month. By the end of the season, you have shared an evening with several different members and friends of Parkview and experienced some wonderful cuisine. Many of our charter members who were members of Park Hill Congregational Church in Denver, but lived in Aurora, shared potluck meals. Potluck groups were important in the fellowship life at Park Hill, and Parkview has continued that tradition for 48 years. Two potluck groups continue to meet on a monthly basis in various homes. Hosts provide the main dish, and others bring complementary side dishes. All members and friends of Parkview are welcome!
