We are a multi-cultural, multi-generational church of people who are believers and seekers, faith-filled and skeptics seeking community, working toward peace and justice, believing we can make a difference in the world. We were organized in 1960 and continue to be guided by our Vision Statement and five Covenants (for more information about our Vision and Covenants see the links under the Parkview circle below). We are proudly progressive, intentionally inclusive and creatively spiritual. We worship together on Sunday mornings. Our traditional worship is at 9:30 am, contemporary worship service is at 11:00 am, early morning prayer services start at 8:00 am, and monthly Taize Services begin in silence at 8:00 am. (See our homepage for the seasonal worship schedule.) Our Chapel is available for individual and group meditation during the week. Check with the office for availability. Our Covenants and Core Ministries are represented by the Parkview Circle... We hold God in the center of all things. The second ring contains the principles by which we live in broad terms: Love, Integrity, Stewardship, Values, Vision and Covenant. The third ring cites our five covenants: Vision Statement & Covenant, we are a Just Peace Church, we are a Whole Earth Church, we are Inclusive, and we uphold Progressive Christianity The fourth ring holds our Core Ministries: Guidance Ministry - visioning, guiding, attending to the well-being of each Core Ministry Team. Operations Ministry - church administrative ministries (with the exception of personnel). These include fiduciary ministries, property ministries, communication ministries, and record keeping. Worship & Prayer Minstry - supporting the spiritual life of the faith community through worship and prayer. Music & Arts Ministry - enriching the lives of individuals, the faith community, and others through appreciation of music and the arts. Missions Ministry - serving the broader community outside Parkview. Education Ministry - providing learning opportunities for faith development in the lives of children, youth, and adults. Evangelism Ministry - invitation and public awareness of the presence and purpose of Parkview Church. Nurture & Care Ministry - supporting the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of the faith community and its individual members and friends. Hospitality Ministry - providing welcome, social interaction, and activities for Parkview members, friends, and the wider community. Youth & Young Adult Ministry - providing a safe and spiritually vibrant space for youth and young adults to grow in faith. Inclusivity Ministry - welcoming and affirming all people whoever they are and wherever they are on life's journey. Social Justice Ministry - upholding and fulfilling our covenantal commitments to a just and and sustainable world. Broader Church Ministry - connecting us to our demoninational, ecumenical, and interfaity communities. The fifth (outer) ring is the evidence and results of all that we say and do.
